SHANNON's Story

Shannon describes herself as a 'nerdy wannabe rockstar' and has been involved with music and singing ever since she was really young.

Shannon discovered her talent aged 10 when holidaying at a holiday park. She entered a singing competition there, and despite it being the first time she had ever performed on stage in front of anyone she ended up winning the regional finals! This then inspired her to develop her vocal ability and gain confidence by gaining experience at local events and competitions.

Shannon struggled with anxiety growing up, having a difficult time at school, and at times she felt as if she didn't fit with her peers and would often describe herself as 'socially awkward'. Shannon’s shyness prevented her from talking to new people, and she often found herself hiding at the back not wanting to be noticed.

Music has changed this for Shannon, enabling her to express herself and be more confident both on and off stage. Shannon writes from her heart and with her own life experiences. Through her lyrics she hopes to inspire others to accept and believe in themselves and be whoever they want to be!
